The School for Social Entrepreneurs (SSE) is running an STO Maturing Markets Trade Up Programme, as part of the wider STO Maturing Markets partnership with Kindred and Capacity. It’s funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund – with the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority as the lead authority.
Now, SSE is looking for organisations to join the programme, aimed at socially-trading organisations within the Liverpool City Region which have been running for at least one year, and can demonstrate their income and impact.
The fully-funded learning programme is designed to support organisations that want to increase their impact by building sustainability and resilience, increasing customer acquisition and growing their income.
“This innovative partnership presents an amazing opportunity for us to foster sustainable growth within the social business sector,” says Lisa Mairah, Director of Business Development and Communications at Blackburne House, which runs the School for School Entrepreneurs programme. “Together, we’re committed to equipping socially trading organisations with vital resources – advice, support, networks, and investment – to enhance their impact and income. We’re thrilled to collaborate in driving tangible positive change and cultivating a vibrant community of purpose-driven enterprises.”
Nicola Higham, Assistant Director for Operations and Investments at Kindred adds, “Kindred are delighted to be working with SSE; their track record in supporting numerous STOs across Liverpool City Region is second to none. This partnership will give support to those STOs who are on a path to growing their trading income and their social impact, ensuring that the pipeline of organisations ready to receive social investment will be strengthened further.”
The deadline for applications is Monday 20 May 2024.
