Street and a Half houses a variety of spaces for use by creative and social businesses in St Helens. There are private office spaces and shops to rent, communal spaces for hire and a central entrance/ hub, which would make a great café.
Directly opposite St Helens Central station and two minutes’ walk from the centre of town, Street and a Half runs along Haydock Street and Bickerstaffe Street. It's part of a growing social innovation cluster in St Helens, which includes other socially-trading organisations (STOs) like Platform Arts, BookStop and Café Laziz.

Kindred has been working with St Helens Borough Council for the last three years, supporting and growing the town’s social economy. The ‘Street and a Half’ building opened in late 2024, as a focal point for this activity. Street and a Half is managed on Kindred’s behalf by Make, which has a strong track record of building creative, social impact communities, with existing spaces in Birkenhead, Huyton and Liverpool’s North Docks.
