We believe the future of Runcorn’s Old Town starts with the people who know it best – do you have an idea to build, create or launch something new?
We’ve partnered with Runcorn Town Community Land Trust and Halton & St Helens VCA on Reimagine Runcorn, supporting projects that would otherwise struggle to get support or funding. If you’ve got an idea for Runcorn, that needs a bit of help and the right support to get started, we want to hear from you.
Whether you’re dreaming up a business, a space, an event, or something completely new – we want to help make it happen.
We can’t support things like roads, infrastructure, buildings (except for activities that might happen in them), or things that are ordinarily the business of Halton Borough Council.

Andrew Beattie is Kindred’s engagement lead: “We’re really looking forward to working in Runcorn in partnership with Runcorn Town Community Land Trust and St Helen’s and Halton VCA,” he says. “We know that Runcorn is already a town of thriving social business, so we’re excited to hear new ideas from people who know it best.”
“Reimagine Runcorn is an opportunity for us to hear and share ideas from our local community, that they’d like to see and lead,” says Ripley Fletcher, a founder member of Runcorn Town CLT. “Whether it’s a small business idea or an event that lifts us. This is just the first stage, that opens the doors to new possibilities in Runcorn Old Town.”
Reimagine Runcorn launches on 26 July in Runcorn Old Town and we’ll be hosting drop-in sessions throughout August – we’ll post more details online and on our socials when we have them.
The programme culminates in a celebration of your ideas in September 2025.
Let’s reimagine Runcorn, together.
