BlaST support programme

BlaST has launched its new support programme, designed for Black or Minority Ethnic-led STOs based in Liverpool City Region, who are looking for support to secure investment and grow their impact.

Duration: six months
Date: Mondays
Time: 9:30 – 14:30

Location: Liverpool

The programme focuses on investment readiness, peer support and promotes holistic wellbeing for sustainable business growth. For the last two months of 2024, participants will engage in intensive in-person workshops and away days, specifically designed to prepare you to access money from Kindred. After this period, you’ll have the option to continue your journey with additional peer learning and sharing sessions, building on the skills and networks developed during the programme.

This is more than just an investment readiness programme – it’s about creating a sustainable ecosystem where STOs can thrive and continue making a positive impact within their communities.

Programme offer:

Investment readiness: Gain the crucial information required to access and utilise money to grow, including growth mapping and pitch development, tailored from a Kindred investment criteria perspective.

Peer support:

Join a collaborative environment where you can share expertise, engage in peer learning and receive ongoing support from like-minded organisations.

Spotlight on wellness:

The programme implements strategies for wellness, aiming to prevent burnout and promote sustainable, healthy growth – both during the programme and beyond.

Eligibility:

To be eligible, you must be Black or Minority Ethnic-led (from an ethnic grouping the data shows are less likely to be successful in accessing investment), with a registered office in Liverpool City Region and your work must offer some form of social or environmental benefits or impact.

This programme is tailored for organisations that are ready to trade, grow, and use repayable blended finance at 0%, to become more social and economically viable.
