Ella is a researcher, community organiser and facilitator committed to co-ordinating the work that Kindred does to support socially-trading organisations across the city region.
Ella has spent a decade learning and working at the University of Liverpool where she has recently completed a PhD exploring welfare institutions in early 20th century Birkenhead. Alongside this research Ella has taught on social policy, political theory and the geographies of Merseyside.
Ella brings hands-on experience from Storyhouse in Chester, where she supported community partnerships, events and led teams in a dynamic cultural environment. She has also played key roles in civil society and grassroots projects, including as a school governor and co-produced major community-focused festivals.
In her own time, when she can get her hands on a ticket, she enjoys joining family and friends at Anfield for the football, digging through old photographs and baking delicious sweet treats.
