Kindred is looking for a Finance and Investment Assistant – someone who can help keep our financial and investment systems running smoothly while supporting the social-trading organisations (STOs) we work with.
If you’re someone who loves keeping things organised, enjoys working with numbers and wants to make a real difference in the Liverpool City Region, this could be the perfect role for you. You don’t need to be an expert in everything already; what matters most is that you’re thoughtful, reliable and keen to learn.
This role sits right at the heart of what we do, helping our team – and the STOs we support – stay on track and thrive.
What does the job involve?
You’ll work closely with both our Finance Lead and Investment Lead, helping with day-to-day tasks like:
- Processing invoices, expenses and purchase orders
- Supporting payroll and helping complete monthly pay runs
- Keeping financial data organised and accurate
- Supporting investees and STOs with simple financial queries
- Helping maintain our investment records
Who we’re looking for
You don’t need decades of experience – but you do need to be:
- Detail-focused and organised, with an eye for the small things
- A clear communicator, happy to share updates and ask questions
- A relationship-builder, comfortable working with different people
- Tech-savvy, especially with Excel and online databases
- A proactive problem-solver, who’s not afraid to try new approaches
- A team player, who supports others and takes responsibility
Experience with financial systems, data management, or report writing is helpful – and if you’ve worked with external partners or have an interest in social impact, that’s a bonus too.
The practical bits
- Salary: £23,809 per year (full-time)
- Hours: Up to 35 hours per week
- Location: Liverpool City Region (flexible working available)
- Deadline: Friday 12 December (midnight) – email info@kindred-lcr.co.uk
Why join Kindred?
Our job is to support organisations that put people and place first. By joining our team, you’ll play a key role in making sure socially driven businesses get the investment, information and encouragement they need to thrive.
If you want a job where your skills genuinely help create social change – and where no two days look quite the same – we’d love to hear from you.
